One and Two Day Art Courses in August 2025
Held at Lavant Memorial Hall, Pook Lane, East Lavant PO19 0AH.

Tuesday 5 August 9.30-5 One day course on charcoal using a variety of charcoals, papers, masks, cloths and mark making, scale, working large and small, accentuating mood.
Tuesday 12 August 9.30-5. One day course on line drawing, using pencil, fine pen, marker pens, non waterproof pens, formal tight rendering and loose playful line work.
Friday 22 and Saturday 23 August 9.30-5. Two day course on landscape, a variety of approaches and materials, working on composition, simplifying complexities, looking at pattern/texture.

Get quicker, gain better understanding on shapes for more realistic, dramatic figures. Using pencils, graphite, charcoal and pen with photographic materials and drawing from life.

Watercolour, inks, gouache, acrylic and oil paints using a variety of surfaces, additives & retarders. Match colour to tone, low key, high key, dramatic and vibrant.

OUTDOOR SKETCHING AND PAINTING using watercolour, gouache, acrylic, inks and oils on a variety of surfaces.

Simplifying complex shapes in shells, looking at textures, patterns and sheen on fresh fish, FAST approaches with watercolour, acrylics, oils and inks painting from life.

ART IN THE PARK FESTIVAL OF CHICHESTER 2024
Chichester Tree Wardens and I held a FREE event on 4 JULY as part of the Festival of Chichester 2024.
We were lucky it was dry and sunny though the cold wind and General Election played havoc with numbers attending!
